Who’s got PMS?

Mamalicious got PMS! And that’s a good thang y’all.

P.M.S. stands for Poetry, Memoir and Story (coming soon!) A literary journal of women writers, includes poems, memoirs, and stories. Alabama’s first literary journal exclusively written and edited by women, published by the University of Alabama at Birmingham.

My favorite author will have her first literary journal publication featured in this special-edition of black women writers scheduled for Spring 2008. Here is a list, in no particular order, of the contributing writers, some well-known and others on te verge of “critical-acclaim”: That may be a little thick but I’m stoked about her selection.

Elizabeth Alexander, Tara Betts, Remica L. Bingham, Lucille Clifton, Matilda Cox, DeLana Dameron, Edwidge Danticat, Nehassaiu deGannes, Latasha N. Nevada Diggs, Camille Dungy, Heidi W. Durrow, Kelly Norman Ellis, Nikky Finney, Asha French, Shannon Gibney, Nikki Giovanni, Rachel Eliza Griffiths, Duriel E. Harris, Kelly Harris, Yona Harvey, Honorée Fanonne Jeffers, Trellie James Jeffers, Meta DuEwa Jones, Patricia Spears Jones, Tayari Jones, Allison Joseph, Raina J. León, Natasha Marin, Opal Moore, Deesha Philyaw, Cherise A. Pollard, Khadijah Queen, Evie Shockley, Patricia Smith, Tracy K.
